- Flour, 1/4 cup
- Sugar, 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon
- Allspice, 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt, 1/8 teaspoon
- Eggs, 4
- Milk, 1 cup
- Butter, 2 tablespoons (Melted)
- Butter, 1/2 stick
- Granny Smith apples, 2 medium (Peeled)
- Sugar, 1/3 cup
- Cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon
Pre-heat the oven to 400°F.
Prepare the batter by combining flour, sugar (1/4 cup), cinnamon, allspice, and salt together in a bowl.
Mix eggs, milk, and butter (2 tablespoons) in a separate bowl until well combined. Stir 1/2 of the egg mixture into the flour. Add remaining egg mixture and whisk until just blended.
Melt butter in a 10 or 11-inch cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat (1/2 stick). Brush butter up the sides of the skillet; add apples, 1/3 cup sugar, and cinnamon.
