Ingredients
- Brown rice penne pasta, 1/2 cup
- Broccoli (Chopped), 2 cups
- Kale (Chopped), 1 cup
- Garlic (Minced), 2 cloves
- Extra virgin olive oil, 2 tsp
- Black pepper, 1/8 tsp
- Salt + Salt for pasta water, 1/4 tsp
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you have all the ingredients.

Set a pot of salted water on the stove to boil. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook for 3 minutes less than the package instructions.
Step 3
Pasta should be drained and rinsed with cold water (this keeps it from becoming too soft). Save half of the pasta water.

Steam broccoli for about five minutes.

Olive oil should be added to a preheated pot along with minced garlic.
