- Vegetable Oil (for Frying)
- Chicken (Cut into Pieces), 2-1/2 pound
- Salt, 1 Cup
- Garlic Powder, 1/ 4 Cup
- Black Pepper, 1/ 4 Cup
- Water, 1/3 Cup
- 4 Eggs
- Self-Rising Flour, 2 Cups
- Hot Red Pepper Sauce, 1 Cup
- Paprika, 1 Teaspoon
- Buttermilk, 1 Cup
Prepare the chicken by soaking it overnight in buttermilk. Beat the cracked eggs with water in a medium bowl. Toss in the hot sauce and stir until the mix turns orange. Combine the flour with the pepper in another bowl.
You can season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Combine the seasonings well with the chicken. After the chicken pieces are well seasoned, dip them in the egg-water mixture. Next, cover them well with the flour mixture.
