How to make Superman Ice Cream
Superman ice cream is a frozen treat that is easy to make and delicious too. It’s a very healthy treat that can be enjoyed by everyone from those who enjoy ice cream, to those who just want something sweet but still nutritious. The secret? Use fruit as the base for your dessert.
- Heavy cream, 2 cups
- Sweetened condensed milk, 14 oz
- Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon
- Red food coloring
- Yellow food coloring
- Blue food coloring
Beat the heavy cream in a large bowl until it forms firm peaks.
Combine the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract with the whipped cream.
Make sure the mixture is divided into three equal portions, and add to three bowls.
Pour a few drops of one food coloring into one bowl. Stir until the ice cream is fully colored. (The more color you add, the more intense the color will be.)
Scoop colored ice cream mixture alternately into a baking dish or loaf pan. Give the colors a quick swirl to layer them. (Be careful not to overmix, or the colors will blend too much.)
Freeze it for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving. The ice cream scoop can be wetted and spooned onto cones or bowls.
