Ingredients

  • Beef shell steak, 1-lb
  • All-purpose flour, 2-3 tablespoon
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • olive oil, ½ cups
  • Unsalted butter, 2 sticks
  • Onions (chopped), ½ cup
  • Fresh mushrooms, 1 cup
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Beef broth, 2 cups
  • Worcestershire sauce, 1 ½ teaspoon
  • Thyme (chopped), ½ teaspoon
  • Sour cream, 1 – ½ cups
  • Egg noodles, 1-package

Instructions

Step 1

Start by boiling the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Remove the noodles from the water and let them cool. It is now time to prepare the beef meat and the gravy for the dish.

Step 2

Make thin slices of the beefsteak according to your taste. Sprinkle the meat pieces with seasoning. Add salt to the all-purpose flour. Mix well and sprinkle pepper over the top.

Step 3

In the prepared flour mixture, place the beef steak pieces after they have been prepared. Make sure the beef steak pieces are evenly coated. Remove the meat pieces and shake off the excess flour. As a result of this coating, the beef pieces will have a smoky and crispy texture.

Step 4

To fry the beef, heat olive oil in a frying pan at medium speed. Release the seasoned pieces of beef in the pan when the oil has heated. Fry the beef pieces slowly for 2 minutes on both sides.

Step 5

From time to time, flip the meat to reduce excess burning. Remove all the beef steaks once they are fully cooked. Let’s prepare the gravy for our quick beef stroganoff. Add chopped onions to the pan as the butter sticks melt.

Step 6

Add the minced garlic and canned mushrooms to the onions after they have become tender. Sauté the vegetables for a few moments to cook them properly. Make the gravy with flour and beef broth.

Step 7

To thicken the gravy, add Worcestershire sauce and sour cream. Stir to prevent bottom burning. Cook the beef meats in the gravy for 10 minutes, then add the beef meats after 10 minutes.

Step 8

Last but not least, remove the beef and gravy mixture from the heat and pour it over the egg noodles. We are now ready to serve our homemade Julia Child mushrooms with beef and noodles.
