Since I’ve had my share of bad soups, I don’t really trust recipes online so i always try to find at least one other person who has tried it before trying new things out on my own. - Whole canned tomatoes (peeled and chopped), 4 cups
- Tomato juice, & broth mix of (50/50), 4 cups
- Basil leaves (chopped finely), 8
- Cream, 1 cup
- Unsalted butter (Sweet), 8 tablespoons
- Salt, 1⁄4 teaspoon
- Black pepper, 1⁄4 teaspoon
In a saucepan, combine tomatoes, tomato juice and broth and simmer for 30 minutes.
Blend basil with the puree. Ensure that this is smooth, strain it.
Put the saucepan back on the stove. Melt the butter and cream while you stir over low heat. Enjoy!
