Crab Stuffed Filet Mignon Recipe

Crab Stuffed Filet Mignon Recipe

I had this Crab Stuffed Filet Mignon Recipe for quite some time. I had been thinking about writing a food blog post, but was hesitant to do so because I didn’t know if it would be a good idea. There’s a lot of information out there about food and cooking, and while I am very knowledgeable about the topic, I am not an expert. It would be impossible for me to write an article that was 100% accurate and 100% comprehensive. However, I did learn a lot from the crab stuffed filet mignon recipe on which I based.

This recipe has become a classic for me. When I was really young, I used to eat an amazing amount of filet mignon. I remember eating it with the tenderloin at The Clam Bar in Horsham. It was an expensive dish to eat though. So, I started cooking my own filet mignon at home to save money. It was even more delicious than the real thing! Since then, I have tried to replicate this dish in my home often.

The crab stuffed filet mignon is an appetizer that involves stuffing a filet mignon with crab. While it may sound crazy, it is surprisingly delicious. To make it, you will need crab; bread; butter; pepper; thyme; olive oil; wine; salt; and lemon. You can make crab stuffed filet mignon ahead of time and freeze it until you’re ready to serve it. For best results, cook the filet mignon in a saute pan until it reaches desired doneness.

How To Make Crab Stuffed Filet Mignon

Are you dreaming of one of those crab stuffed steak mignon recipes like the ones that we all dream of? You can make it – and you know exactly how – but we’ll tell you how. The filet mignon is a cut of steak that can be served as a steak for any occasion and is a very popular steak in American cuisine. The filet mignon itself is a cut of steak between 12 and 16 inches long with a thick and firm meat.

Ingredients

  • Lump crabmeat (drained), 1/2Cup
  • Parmesan cheese (shredded), 2 Tablespoons
  • Green onion (chopped) 2 Tablespoon
  • Butter (melted) 1 Teaspoon
  • Beef tenderloin steaks, 2 (6 oz each)
  • Salt, ¼ Teaspoon
  • Pepper, 1/8 Teaspoon

Instructions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix crabmeat, cheese, onions, and butter.

Step 2

Sprinkle salt and pepper over steaks. Cut slits across steaks about half an inch apart. Form a pocket on the other side. Stuff with 1/2 cup crab mixture. If necessary, secure with string.

Step 3

Four inches of broiling. On each side, cook the meat for 7-9 minutes, or until the desired doneness is reached (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°). After cooking, let the meat stand for 5 minutes before serving.
