Ingredients
  

  • 2 large Vidalia onions (diced)
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 (8-oz) Package cream cheese (room temperature)
  • Sour cream, 1 (16-oz) container 
  • 1 tablespoon French onion soup mix
  • ¼ teaspoon Cayenne pepper

Instructions
 

  • Over medium heat, melt the butter. Sprinkle the onions with pepper and let them cook until they are caramelized, about ten minutes. Let cool after removing from heat.
  • To make the cream cheese and sour cream, mix them together in a medium bowl. Combine the onion soup mix with the cream cheese. 
  • Add the caramelized onions and the paprika and cayenne once the mixture has been mixed.
  • Before serving, place the serving dish in the fridge for at least one hour.
  • Garnish with fresh chives and serve with pita chips, potato chips, and fresh vegetables.
