Ingredients

  • 1 large russet potato
  • ½ tablespoon Dried Parsley
  • ¼ tablespoon Sea salt
  • ½ tablespoon Garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon Onion powder
  • ½ tablespoon Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • ¼ cup Oil for pan-frying
  • 1 Egg white
  • 2 tablespoon Cornflour or fine cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Put the whole potato in a saucepan and fill it with water. Once the potato has cooled enough to handle, peel it and grate it.
  • Put the grated potato into a large bowl and bring it near you. You can now season your potato mixture by adding salt and pepper. Be sure to also add onion powder and garlic powder.
  • Combine your potato mixture with two teaspoons of cornstarch.
  • Add the beaten egg white and sprinkle with the dried parsley. Make sure that all the flavors are well blended and absorbed in grate potatoes.
  • Prepare small portions of dough. Cut the dough with a cookie cutter. Start the process of cooking the potato discs by placing them on parchment paper.
  • Fill a frying pan with oil and heat it to prepare food.
  • In the frying pan, place the hash browns half-submerged in oil.
  • Keep frying the hash browns for 2-3 minutes, making sure that they both turn golden.
  • Take them out of the oil and drain the excess oil onto tissue paper.
  • Serve with tomato ketchup and garlic mayonnaise.
