Step 1

Peel the shrimp with their tails still attached and clean them.

Step 2

Using your hands, devein the shrimps.

Step 3

With both hands, straighten the shrimp, perhaps by bending it gently outward.

Use cornstarch to properly coat each shrimp.

Step 5

In a pan, heat some oil and gather all the tempura ingredients.

Then, combine ice-cold water, all-purpose flour, and eggs in a bowl.
