Ingredients

  • 2 cups Japanese Rice
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 ½ cup Short Grain Sushi Rice
  • ½ pound Salmon Skin
  • ¼ cups Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Tamari
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 1 bunch Watercress
  • 2 Cucumber
  • 1 Avocado (sliced)
  • 4-6 sheets Nori

Instructions

  • Remove extra starch from rice by rinsing it twice or three times. For 10 to 12 minutes, cook it in a rice cooker.
  • Put the rice in a bowl and mix it with the vinegar. Stir it well after adding sugar and sesame seeds.
  • After rinsing the salmon skin, dry it thoroughly. Give it a sprinkle of salt. To create crisp and golden salmon skin, heat oil in a pan and cook it for 3-5 minutes.
  • Put the tamari, brown sugar, and mirin into a saucepan. Reduce the sauce by half and thicken it by heating it until the sugar dissolves.
  • Spread a thin layer of nori on the rice. A salmon skin, a cucumber, an avocado, and cress should be placed along one edge of the plate.
  • Roll them up and then cut them into bite-sized pieces. Put the sauce on the pieces and drizzle them over them. You are ready to roll your salmon skin!
