Caribou Lou Recipe

Are you a professional bartender or a seasonal one? In either case, you must be familiar with the Caribou Lou cocktail. This lightly tinted cocktail is filled with the freshness and slight tart of pineapple juice and the crazy funk of Malibu and 151 rum.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz Malibu
  • 1.5 oz 151 rum
  • Ice, for serving
  • Pineapple juice, adjustable quantity
  • Lemon slice, for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Take a highball glass and add ice cubes to it.
  • Then add coconut rum (malibu) and 151 rum in it. Mix and add pineapple juice according to your preference for the strength of the cocktail.
  • Stir them with a bar spoon. But not so much to melt the ice.
  • Garnish with a slice of coconut, pineapple, or lemon. Caribou Lou is ready. Serve and enjoy.

Notes

Recipe Notes
  • You can adjust the strength of the cocktail by adding more or less alcohol.
  • If you feel like the cocktail has gone slightly strong, just add some pineapple juice to make it mild.
  • Garnishing with a slice of coconut, pineapple or lemon is not necessary.
  • Keep in view that you have to serve the caribou lou with ice cubes still present in it. Just do not let them melt. If that happens, add some more ice cubes.
  • You can also make a semi-frozen version of caribou lou by using crushed ice.
