Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 lbs Grapes
  • 2 c Sugar
  • c Water
  • ½ c Light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 100 Toothpicks
  • Food coloring gel

Instructions
 

  • Rinse grapes thoroughly. Place the grapes on a paper towel to let them dry. Insert toothpicks or skewers in the grapes from the stem end. 
  • Take a heavy-bottom saucepan and add water, sugar, and corn syrup to it. 
  • Turn ON the flame from medium to high to boil the syrup. Continue stirring the syrup while boiling. Keep it boiling for about 5 minutes to attain the optimum consistency of syrup. 
  • Check the temperature of boiling syrup with the help of a candy thermometer. If the temperature of the syrup is 300 to 305 degrees, this is the perfect hard crack stage for the syrup to be set on the grapes.
  • Take parchment paper lined with a baking sheet to align and coat cracked grapes. 
  • Pour and mix vanilla extract into the syrup. 
  • Dip each grape into the hot syrup. Make sure that grapes are properly rinsed and dried before dipping into the syrup. 
  • After covering all the grapes with syrup coating, sprinkle Jolly Rancher flavor over the coated/ cracked grapes.
  • Align the coated grapes over the parchment paper. Let the grapes dry for about half an hour. Remove toothpicks from the grapes and serve the crunchy yummy cracked grapes.
