Italian hot chocolate is not very different from other hot chocolates in making. With only 5 ingredients, you can make this exotic hot chocolate. First, mix some milk and cornstarch. Then in a separate container, mix cocoa powder and sugar. Take a saucepan and add whole milk to it and boil.
3.5ozDark chocolate (bar chopped into small chunks)
2-½tbspUnsweetened cocoa
1tspCornstarch
1tbspSugar
Whole milk / 2% milk = 1 tbsp + 1 cup
Instructions
Take a small bowl and add ¼ cup milk and cornstarch to it. Whisky them together until they are smooth. And then set them aside.
Take another bowl and sift the cocoa in it. Then add sugar and whisk.
Now take a medium pot and add the remaining whole milk in it. Boil the milk on medium-high heat and then lower the heat.
Start adding cornstarch and milk mixture to the boiling milk while whisking continuously. When all the cornstarch has been added, add the cocoa mixture in the same way.
When the mixture is smooth, add the chopped chunks of dark chocolate bar. Keep mixing for 3 minutes while still on the heat. Then pour the hot chocolate into a serving glass or cup and serve while still hot. Bon Appetit!
