Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces Fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb Peeled and deveined medium-sized shrimp
  • 1 cup Sliced mushrooms
  • 8 oz (1 cup) Heavy cream
  • 8 tbsp Butter
  • ¼ cup Diced yellow pepper
  • ½ cup Diced tomato
  • 4 Sliced green onions
  • ¼ cup Diced green pepper
  • 1 tbsp Chopped fresh parsley
  • 12 ounces Sliced andouille sausage
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • cup Freshly grated Parmesan
  • 4 Minced garlic cloves
  • tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Salt = to taste
  • Black pepper = to taste

Instructions
 

  • In the salted water, cook and drain the fettuccine pasta according to the instructions of the company.
  • In a bowl, add the cleaned shrimp and sprinkle paprika and cajun seasoning on it.
  • Take a large skillet and add 2 tbsp of butter to it. Heat on a medium flame until the butter is melted.
  • Cook the seasoned shrimp in the melted butter until they are pink. Transfer them out of the skillet and set aside.
  • Melt the remaining 6 tbsp of butter in the same skillet and then add green pepper, yellow pepper, sausages, mushrooms, and onions in it. Cook so that the vegetables turn soft and brown.
  • Then add the diced tomatoes and minced garlic to the vegetables and cook for another 1 minute.
  • Add the heavy cream to the veg and sausages mixture and bring to a simmer. Keep simmering so that it thickens its consistency.
  • Then add parsley, grated parmesan, and lemon juice. Mix them to melt the parmesan and combine everything.
  • Check if there is a need to adjust the seasoning. Then add salt and black pepper. Mix them in the vegetables.
  • Transfer the skillet away from heat and add the cooked shrimp and cooked fettuccine pasta in it. Mix everything well together. Scrumptious Pappadeaux Mardi Gras Pasta is ready. Bon Appetit!
