Cracker Barrel Chocolate Cobbler is a very simple, but very delicious chocolate cobbler. It’s very similar to a cobbler you would eat at Thanksgiving, except this one is made with chocolate. It's rich and creamy with layers of chocolate cake and chocolate morsels at the bottom.

1 1/2 cup All-purpose flour 1/2 cup Granulated sugar 2 teaspoons Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon Salt 1/4 cup Butter 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate morsels 1/4 cup Milk 1 Egg (slightly beaten) 21 ounces cherry pie filling 1/2 cup Finely chopped nuts
To prepare the oven, preheat it to 350 degrees.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and butter in a large mixing bowl.
Using a pastry blender, cut the crumbs into small pea-sized pieces.
Melt the chocolate morsels over warm (not boiling) water.
Let the chocolate cool at room temperature for 5 minutes.
Mix the chocolate with the milk and egg.
To the flour mixture, add the chocolate mixture and mix well.
Put the pie filling in the bottom of a 2-quart casserole dish.
Sprinkle chocolate batter over cherries at random.
On top, sprinkle nuts.
It takes 40 to 45 minutes to bake at 350 degrees.
