1 Refrigerated pie dough (thawed) 15 oz Berger cookies, 8 cookies 1 stick Unsalted butter 3 large eggs ½ cup Milk ¼ cup Sugar 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract 1 tablespoon Cornmeal
Turn the oven on to 350 degrees. In a deep-dish pie plate, roll out the refrigerated pie dough.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Let the butter cool slightly.
Chop 15 ounces roughly. This package contains approximately 8 Berger cookies.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar. Add the vinegar and vanilla to the milk and stir well.
Whisk a little butter into the eggs after it has cooled to make sure it doesn't cook them. Whisk in the remaining butter along with the cornmeal.
Place the chopped cookies into the pie dough and pour the batter over them.
After an hour or until the center is set, remove it from the oven. Before serving, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely.
If you wish, drizzle chocolate syrup on the pie before slicing it once it has cooled.
