Ingredients

  • 1 Refrigerated pie dough (thawed)
  • 15 oz Berger cookies, 8 cookies
  • 1 stick Unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Cornmeal

Instructions

  • Turn the oven on to 350 degrees. In a deep-dish pie plate, roll out the refrigerated pie dough.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Let the butter cool slightly.
  • Chop 15 ounces roughly. This package contains approximately 8 Berger cookies.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar. Add the vinegar and vanilla to the milk and stir well.
  • Whisk a little butter into the eggs after it has cooled to make sure it doesn't cook them. Whisk in the remaining butter along with the cornmeal.
  • Place the chopped cookies into the pie dough and pour the batter over them.
  • After an hour or until the center is set, remove it from the oven. Before serving, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely.
  • If you wish, drizzle chocolate syrup on the pie before slicing it once it has cooled.
