Edwards Chocolate Cream Pie Recipe (Copycat)

Ingredients
  

For Crust

  • 25 cookies
  • 2 tablespoons Soft salted butter

For Cream Filling

  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 8 oz Whipping cream

For Chocolate Filling

  • cup Granulated sugar
  • 6 large large egg yolks
  • 3 cups Heavy cream
  • ¼ tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup Dark chocolate chips

For Whipping Cream

  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla
  • cup Powdered sugar

For Toppings

  • Chocolate sauce
  • Chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Your first and foremost duty is to preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
  • Crush the cookies in a food processor and then mix in the butter to make the cookie crust. Combine the two ingredients.
  • Put the crushed cookies into a pie plate that has already been greased. Bake it for 20 minutes, and then allow it to cool completely.
  • During baking, adjust the cookie crumbs if they are disturbed.
  • Whisk the cream cheese in a medium bowl until it becomes creamy.  Fill the pie crust with this blended cream cheese.
  • Next, you need to warm the cream in a medium-sized saucepan over low heat.
  • Combine the sugar and egg yolks in a separate mixing bowl. Pour warm cream over the mixture when it becomes foamy. Put this mixture in the saucepan and heat it until it reaches a certain temperature, then turn off the heat.
  • Along with the chocolate chips and vanilla, add the salt. Stir well until the chocolate has melted.
  • Proceed to the next step.  Stir the cream in a container until it becomes fluffy, then fold this cream into the egg mixture. Add this cream mixture to the pie crust.
  • Prepare the topping by combining powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt, and topping your pie with it.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top and drizzle some chocolate. Put in the freezer for two hours and enjoy!
