Ingredients

  • 1 All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Margarine
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 6 ounces Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 3 ounces Cream cheese (cubed)
  • 10 ounces Frozen whole kernel corn (thawed)
  • 3 ounces Ham (diced)

Instructions

  • Bring a medium saucepan. Place 2 tablespoons of margarine in the pan and let it melt. Set the stove to low heat.
  • Mix flour and garlic powder well.
  • Add 1/2 cup of milk without a gap and continue to whip over low heat. If there aren't any crystals, add the rest of the milk and stir well to avoid clotted milk. Remove them from the pot after some time into a pan.
  • Melt cream cheese and cheddar cheese in another saucepan.
  • Mix the whole kernel corn and ham well with the melted cheese.
  • Put the corn mix and milk puree in a casserole dish or deep pan. Voila! Now it just needs to be baked.
  • Bake the casserole dish for 45 minutes in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • After removing the corn from the oven, let it cool and garnish with basil before serving.
