Ingredients
- All-Purpose Flour , 2 Cups
- Sugar, 1-½ Cup
- Salt (to Taste)
- Unsalted Butter, 2 sticks
- Cheese, 1 ½ Cups
- Cream, 1 Cup
- Chocolate Bars, 1-Package
- Cinnamon, ½ teaspoon
- 2 Eggs
- Water, 1 teaspoon
Instructions
Step 1
Starting with the outer covering would be a better idea. Pour flour into a bowl. Stir in sugar and salt. This will enhance the sweetness of the outer layer.
Step 2
Make a smooth flour mixture by whisking the ingredients. Put the butter sticks into a food processor. Both melted and solid butter will work. Blend thoroughly the cheese with the butter sticks.
Step 3
Add the cream after the butter and cheese are melted and blend for another 3-4 minutes. Prepare a fluffy dough by adding the prepared flour mixture to the mixer while it is being blended. You may need to add water if necessary.
Step 4
Begin rolling the dough and preparing a log. For a gluier and firmer texture, place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. By doing this, the buttery taste will quickly spread throughout the Parve rugelach recipe.
Step 5
While we wait, let’s prepare the inner chocolate filling. To do this, remove the chocolate bars from the package and place them in a saucepan. Start heating it and stir the chocolate bars occasionally so that they melt evenly on all sides without burning excessively.
Step 6
After that, remove the chocolate bowl from the heat and add sugar, salt, and cinnamon. The filling will have a rich flavor and the overall taste will be enhanced. After rolling the dough a couple of times, take out the frozen dough and cut it into long wedges.
Step 7
To avoid hardening of chocolates, the inner filling must be done quickly. Use a spoon to carefully pour the melted chocolate mixture over the wedges, then roll the dough into small rugelach cookies.
Step 8
Make all the cookies by filling them with chocolate. Repeat this step until all the cookies are filled. Place all the chocolate-filled cookies on the baking sheet after sprinkling some flour on it. Get a fluffy and soft upper crust by greasing the upper layer of cookies with an egg mixture.
Step 9
Bake the baking tray at 350 degrees Fahrenheit in the microwave oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
Step 10
Put the cookies in a bowl once you have removed the baking tray. Let the cookies cool for a while before serving.
