Ingredients

  • 1 package (2 ¼ tsp) Active Dry Yeast
  • 2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 cup Warm Water
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 cups pre-shredded Italian Blend Cheese
  • 3 tablespoon Butter
  • Garlic Salt
  • Italian Seasoning blend

Instructions

  • Combine the yeast with the warm water and sugar in a mixing bowl. Give it five minutes to activate.
  • Add the salt, olive oil, and 2 cups of flour.
  • Combine and knead until sticky dough forms.  The dough will be soft and won't come together in a ball.  If you need more flour, add it.
  • Cover the dough and let the dough rest for 20 to 30 minutes until it has doubled in size.
  • Prepare a 9x13 baking dish by lining it with tin foil and spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  • While your oven preheats, lightly press the risen dough into the prepared baking dish and cover to let it rise for 10-15 minutes.
  • You will need to preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  • Sprinkle the 2 cups of Italian cheese blend evenly over the dough once your oven has been preheated.
  • For 12 to 15 minutes, bake at 400 degrees.  The cheese will mostly be golden brown when it is done.
  • Brush the hot cheese bread with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle garlic salt over the top. Generous amounts are our favorite.
  • On top, sprinkle the Italian seasoning.
  • Remove the hot cheese bread from the baking dish and place it on a cutting board.
  • Cut into 12 pieces with a pizza cutter.
  • Serve and Enjoy.
