2 Cloves minced garlic 1 White onion 4 cups Broth, chicken, or seafood 1 tablespoon Oregano or marjoram (dried) 2 sticks Salted butter 2 sticks Unsalted butter 1/2 Lemon squeezed 1 tablespoon Salt 2 tablespoon Brown sugar 1 tablespoon Lemon pepper 1 tablespoon Chili powder 1 tablespoon Red pepper flakes 1 tablespoon Cayenne pepper 1 tablespoon Six pepper blend 1 tablespoon Creole or Cajun seasoning ½ tablespoon Old bay mix 1 tablespoon Paprika 3 tablespoon Onion powder 2 tablespoon Garlic powder
The first step is to blend the butter, onions, and garlic in a food processor until they are smooth and silky. Slowly work through them on low power.
In a saucepan, heat them over medium heat. Turn the heat down to low and simmer the sauce with all the spices and seasonings.
The mixture should be stirred frequently until it thickens and darkens a little bit. Add the chicken or bouillon broth now.
Keep simmering at a low temperature. In sauces, that's the best way to bring the spices and flavors together.
If you want to add Tabasco, you can do so, but it's perfectly fine if you don't.
Then cook it for another 20-25 minutes.
When it's finished, you can pour it over anything or cook meat, fish, or crab in it.
In case the sauce is too watery, you can thicken it with cornstarch.
