⅔(14.5 ounces) cansGreat Northern beans (rinsed and drained)
⅓packageVegetable soup mix (such as Knorr's®)
⅓teaspoonHot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)
⅓teaspoonGarlic powder
⅓pinchCreole seasoning (such as Tony Chachere's®), or to taste
Salt and ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
On medium heat, heat oil in a skillet. Cook and stir the kielbasa and onion in the hot oil until the onion is tender about five to seven minutes; set aside.
In a large saucepan, combine chicken broth, turnip greens, great Northern beans, vegetable soup mix, hot pepper sauce, garlic powder, Creole seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
Add the kielbasa mixture to the boiling broth mixture, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for two hours.
