Ingredients

  • 6 Large eggs
  • 3 Boiled water
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

For Ice Bath:

  • 1 cup Ice cubes
  • 3 cups Cold water

Instructions

  • Take a saucepan and fill it with 3 cups of water. Place it on a medium-high heat. Cover the saucepan and boil the water.
  • Once the water has boiled, lessen the heat to medium and keep the water boiling lightly. Then add olive oil. The olive oil makes the peeling of eggs easier.
  • Then with the help of a slotted spoon, add the eggs into the lightly boiling water and set the timer for 6 minutes.
  • When the eggs are being boiled, prepare the ice water bath in the meantime. For this, take a large bowl and add the ice cubes and water to it.
  • After 6 minutes when the timer runs off, take out the eggs and immediately add them to the ice water bath. It will stop the cooking process of eggs.
  • After 10 minutes, the eggs will get cold enough to handle by hand. Then one by one, peel the eggs by cracking them open on the side of the bowl. While one egg is peeled, return it to the cold water bath and peel the other one. Repeat the same for all the eggs.
  • Take out the eggs, place them on a plate, and cut them in half, lengthwise. Serve the eggs with some salt and pepper, or with bread or salad. Jammy eggs are ready. Bon Appetit!
