Chicken Souse Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds Chicken
  • 2 large Potatoes
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 stalks Celery
  • Dried red peppers
  • 2 tablespoon Whole all-spice mixture
  • 2 Limes
  • salt

Instructions
 

  • Take a large pot and add chicken to it. Add water into the pot till the chicken till the chicken gets completely dipped. Also, add dried peppers and salt to it. Turn On the stove to boil the chicken for almost half an hour. 
  • Once the chicken is done, peel two large potatoes and slice them into small cubes. Boil the potatoes in a separate bowl till they are soft and tender. 
  • Cut the onion into small pieces.
  • Slice the celery stalks into small cubes. 
  • Remove the cooked chicken from the stove and rinse the chicken properly. There is no need to use the broth in which the chicken was cooked. 
  • Take a large pot and add chicken, potatoes, onion, salt, pepper, garlic, and whole allspice. Add water to dip all the ingredients.
  • Boil it for 20 minutes. When the soupy mixture and vegetables are done, add celery cubes. 
  • Take a lime and squeeze it into the soup. 
  • Dish out the soup in small bowls. Use second lime for garnishing. Cut the second lime into small slices and garnish the serving bowls.
