Coconut Margarita Recipe

The Coconut Margarita is a delicious cocktail that is stuffed with fresh tequila Blanco, shredded coconut, and lime, and it tastes so delicious. This is the ultimate summertime drink on the menu, and it's also great for any occasion.

Ingredients
  

  • Sweetened shredded coconut, for the rim
  • 2 ounces tequila Blanco
  • ½ ounce triple sec (or Cointreau)
  • ½ ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce cream of coconut (not coconut cream)
  • Ice, for serving (try clear ice)
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions
 

  • Make sure the coconut is toasted. In a single layer, place it on a plate after it has been removed from the heat. 
  • Dip the rim of the glass into a bit of extra cream of coconut on a separate plate. Dip the rim of the glass into the coconut toasted plate.
  • Add one handful of ice to the cocktail shaker with the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and cream of coconut. Shake well until cold.
  • Place the coconut-rimmed glass with the margarita in the strainer. Make sure the glass is filled with ice before serving.
  • A pitcher can be made by adding 2 cups of tequila, 12 cups of triple sec, 12 cups of lime juice, and 1 cup of coconut cream of coconut. Add 3 handfuls of ice and stir well.
