The spicy flavor from the jalapeno and the citrus flavors from the lime and orange juice makes for a perfect balance. The tequila gives you a nice, spicy kick that will keep you warm on those chilly spring evenings.
Mix the sea salt and chili lime seasoning together in a shallow dish or plate to prepare the salt for the rim. Make sure our cocktail glasses are rimmed with a lime wedge.
The lime juice will run down the sides of the glass if the glass is upside down while doing this. Dip the rim into the salt mixture to coat it. To make sure the entire rim of the glass is coated, you may need to tilt the glass. As you prepare the cocktail, set it aside.
Place the jalapeno half, cilantro leaves, and lime juice in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. With a muddler or spoon, muddle the jalapenos and cilantro into the juice. As a result, lime juice releases its flavors.
A cocktail shaker should be filled with agave syrup, water, and tequila or mezcal. Ensure that the shaker is filled with ice and shake vigorously for at least 20 seconds.
Put ice in your cocktail glasses. You can do this by sliding the ice into the glass with a spoon. Placing the spoonful of ice at the side of the glass and letting the ice sink to the bottom will produce the best results. Keeping your pretty rim in place will prevent it from getting damaged.
Fill the glasses with the cocktail mixture after straining it through a strainer.
Add a lime wedge, extra jalapeno slices, and cilantro to garnish, and enjoy!
