A cannoli is an Italian pastry, made by layering layers of dough with a sweet filling.The filling is typically made with vanilla extract, ricotta, or ricotta cheese, which is then covered in a layer of sweet pastry cream, a simple snack that comes together in minutes.
Beat the ricotta, cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar together in a mixing bowl. Mini chocolate chips can be folded in at this point. Prepare the dish ahead of time and refrigerate.
Make the pita chips
A parchment-lined baking tray should be preheated to 400° F.
Cut pitas into triangles after slicing them in half.
Use a basting brush to spread melted butter on pita triangles
Put the pitas in a bowl of cinnamon and sugar and lay them on a baking sheet in a single flat layer (you may need 2 trays, depending on the size of your tray/oven).
For golden brown and crispy results, bake for 12-15 minutes in the oven.
Prepare the food for serving. In a small bowl or dish, transfer the cannoli dip from the fridge. Serve the dip with baked pita chips.
